Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 39 Weeks and 2 Days!
Size of baby: Baby Vaughn is about 20 inches long from head to heel and a bit over 7 pounds! (About the size of a small watermelon, according to BabyCenter). I don't know about you, but I'm from the south and our watermelons are HUGE and weigh more than 7 pounds. ha ha!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: ~ +26lb. According to the doc, I'm down a pound from last week but I fluctuate like 4-5lbs in a day anyway.
Maternity Clothes: Always maternity pants or stretchy yoga/sleep pants. Same stuff as last week. Just wearing what's comfortable.

Gender: Baby V is a GIRL!!!
Movement: She's still moving around lots! She is most active during the mid morning and right before bed. She will go through 45 min to an hour of just kicks and punches. Nothing painful for me, but I can definitely feel a little booty in my top right ribs making it hard to lean forward any. I have a short, short torso, so there's not much room for her to stretch without invading my ribs. :)
Sleep: I'm still sleeping really well! I just have to wake up to pee, but that's a given at this point! I average about 3-4 times per night but I always fall right back to sleep. I hope baby girl is a great sleeper like her mama and daddy! Wouldn't that be nice? :)
What I miss: Nada! Loving these last few days!
Cravings: No huge cravings this past week. Just milk!
Symptoms: HUGE belly! My doctor said it's measuring right at 39 cm which is on track but it just seems bigger than that! I still don't think I've had any real contractions. My stomach will tighten up randomly but with no pain and very sporadically, so I guess those are the fake ones. Just since I've been home from the doctor today, I've had some slight cramping, so I am not sure if that's indicative of anything. We'll see! My inside ankles started to swell just a bit the last couple of days but only if I'm standing up or walking a lot. My swelling really hasn't been bad at all, thank goodness! It always goes down after propping up my legs or after a night's sleep. Other than that, no other symptoms, just a growing baby kicking me from the inside!
Best Moment this week: 39 weeks!! Just a tad past that actually. Just 5 short days until our due date! I am surprisingly not anxious or nervous yet, but I'm sure I will be once we get closer to go time! Nate is also pretty calm too. Sweet man! Speaking of, his coworkers seem to think the world of him! They planned a big surprise baby shower for him and called me the night before to invite me to be in on the surprise as well. They pulled it off and he was completely surprised, especially that I was there, too! It was so awesome to see all of his engineering team, coworkers, and pretty much all first shift operators clapping and congratulating us. They were all so incredibly nice and friendly. This emotional mama had to hold back the tears (and I barely know most of these people)! Several of them had gone in together to get us some very nice things! We got a few more sweet little outfits ("daddy's girl" outfits, of course!), a tummy play mat, a few developmental toys, diapers and other bathroom necessities, and the attachment bar to hook our car seat onto the stroller. They had some snacks and cupcakes and it was all just really nice! I really loved hearing all the nice things they had to say about my husband and his work ethic. They also said they have "heard a lot about me." I can't wait to bring our baby girl to his work and show her off to his whole team and production line. I'll have to pick out a super cute outfit and bow for her :). We also had a great check up at the doctor today. My blood pressure is still great and her heartbeat was 152 bpm. I'm still not dilated but have been having a few cramps so we will see what this next week brings! I go back next Thursday, which will be one day past due, so I am curious to see if I make it to that appointment or if we'll see our doctor in the hospital sooner than that. We know God already has her birthday chosen and we can't wait to see when that will be! So thankful today for our many blessings and a healthy pregnancy! We just keep praying the remainder will go just as smoothly and we'll have a healthy little girl in our arms...soon!

P.S. I am working on finishing up one little project in her nursery, then I will take pictures and announce her name on the blog! And since I'm at it, I'll just go on and do the nursery tour too. Hopefully that will be ready sometime this weekend! :)
Here's a couple of cell phone pics from earlier today
And his 39 week picture, ha!
