8 Weeks

Avery,

Here you are, eight whole weeks old already!  I can't believe you aren't a little 7 and a half pound ball anymore!  You are a stretched out, long, alert, and a smiley little baby!  Everyone says you are so little, but to me, you look like you have doubled in size.  You fill out your clothes better and you take up more space in your car seat (and you're making it heavier, too!).  You like to kick your legs and punch your arms and you especially do that if you are getting worked up and about to cry.  Thankfully, you don't cry much.  You will cry when you are hungry, but only after you have given me about a 15 minute warning.  You ask nicely at first. haha!  You will also cry when you are overtired, mostly in the evenings (sorry Daddy).  You don't seem to get too upset about a dirty diaper, but we still change you often anyway.  This past week, you took your first trip to see Daddy at work!  All of his coworkers and operators have been wanting to see you.  They are already asking us to come back soon so they can see how you've grown.  You were hungry at the time, but you did very well while we were there.  They all ooed and awwed over you, of course!  Then, Daddy took his girls to lunch.  You also did well at church this past Sunday.  Something about church makes you need to fill your diaper though.  ha!  You slept right through the loud worship music, then ate a little and got changed, then sat through the rest just wide awake and looking around.  You are growing and changing every single day, maybe even every hour!  We are loving this stage and we just soak in every minute with you!  Sometimes, when I will need to go do something, you know, like go brush my teeth before bed, I just have to stare at you and kiss your sweet cheeks a few more times before I step away! :) You are loved so so so much, little girl...to the moon and back a zillion times!  We have been so blessed to have you and to have been chosen to be your parents.  Love you, honey girl!
