Avery, my girl, you are already two months old! Shoowee time is flying by! You are getting so big!
We are not sure of your weight and length yet, but your two month check up is next Tuesday, so I will update your stats then. I am dreading those shots!! Poor girl, you don't even know what's coming. Anyway, we estimate you to weigh around 11 and a half pounds when we try to weigh you on our home scales. You are definitely growing and gaining, that is for sure!
Nursing; you are still a snacker during the day
Snuggles with Momma and Daddy
Smiling reeeeally big
Riding in the car
Being walked around so you can look at everything
Music and being sung to
Just being held (duh!)
I saw someone's quote on another blog the other day and it said, "I would rather be told I hold my baby too much than to be told I don't hold her enough." Isn't that the truth?
Being burped before you're done eating (we wouldn't dare let you starve!)
Getting dressed (this is becoming more tolerable)
Sometimes a dirty diaper will bother you, totally understandable haha
Since last month, you have:
learned to smile
coo and "talk" to us
taken the paci when you need to soothe a little
learned not only to tolerate baths, but love them
slept 5 hour stretches pretty consistently, sometimes 6, at night
You wear size 0-3 month clothes. The white onesie in these pictures is size 0-3, so some of them are even baggy on you, but we said goodbye to newborn clothes a good two weeks ago. You are kind of in between sizes. Your one size cloth diapers fit you pretty well now, we just have them on the smallest snap setting. In your sized diapers, you are a size 1 or size small, depending on the brand. We are proud to say, we have only used a handful of disposable diapers this month! Honestly, probably around 5 of them!
You are longer than your sock monkey now! And you're getting a little chub on those thighs. I just love it!
Your eyes are still a dark grey/blue color. They seem to be more on the blue side than brown but we know they can still change. You can thank Daddy for those blues!
You still eat every 2-3 hours during the day (some days you are super hungry and will eat like once an hour during the day, hello growth spurt). At night (usually), you will sleep a 5 hour stretch, then eat, and sleep 2-3 hours. You don't really have a set "time" schedule yet, but that's roughly the break down.
Months one and two, comparison...
Honey girl, we love you so much and we enjoy watching you grow, even though it's happening so fast! Your little coos and big smiles just make our day! You are such a great baby and you have been such a huge blessing to us! Happy two months, little Ave!
