After our afternoon at the beach, we went up to this bay area to see the USS Midway. I am not a history person, so I didn't even know this was there, but a guy at the hotel mentioned it being worth-while. Well, it was Memorial Day, so it was really crowded, so we didn't take a tour. We just walked around the area. The weather was perfect, but at this point we were so sun burned that it just seemed hot!
When we were driving there, it was funny because I was like "wow, there's the battleship" and Nathan is looking all around saying "I don't see it, where is it?" Hilarious, because look how humongous this thing is! He finally saw it and it was RIGHT in front of us. haha! I mean, it had like 10 airplanes on it, a full runway, and a billion people. Huge!
These bronze statues represented Bob Hope and his military entertainment.
I loved all the sail boats, but that one boat looks straight up like a pirate ship!
And here's our family pic with the ship. So funny. The guy I asked was super tall, so he was even above Nathan's head. So much for getting the ship in the picture. haha
Ok, the rest of these pics are just from the hotel. I'm mainly posting them to document Avery's cuteness and for the family to keep up with her!
She loves Daddy! I think she really likes being up high.
There she is, chewing on those hands again...
She's like, "How about this pose, Momma. See how big I am?" :)
I really like this mirror pic for some reason. ha! We were getting ready to go out for dinner. We always had to bundle Avery up in long sleeves and pants since it was cool and windy at night, especially between all of those downtown buildings. She looked so cozy. I am just so used to seeing her in sleeveless summer dresses.
Cutie pie!!
...Next up, the last segment of our trip. It was our third wedding anniversary and our visit to the San Diego Zoo!...
